A speeding VIP bus with registration number GW 6575-21 has crashed into a 17-year-old motor rider, killing him on the Borae Kete-Krachi Highway in the Oti Region. The tragic incident occurred in the late afternoon of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, throwing residents into a state of mourning.

Eyewitnesses told Adom News that the bus was traveling from Dambai to Krachi at high speed when it struck the rider, who was navigating the highway. The teen rider, only identified as Unyimbe, sustained severe head injuries and died instantly at the scene.

Speaking in an interview, the residents called for the construction of speed ramps to curb the menace. The police have since visited the scene, with an investigation underway.

Drivers have also been urged to adhere to speed limits and exercise caution on the roads to prevent further tragedies.
