The Inspector General of Police (IGP) is also said to have reached out to the family yesterday to offer “an unqualified apology” following growing calls that the police had been silent on the matter.

“He assured them that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing and also informed them of the readiness of the Police to visit them at their convenience and update them on the investigation done so far,” the police said.

On social media, posts rather allege she was murdered. There’s a post attributed to her brother, which has been going around for days. There are also reports that CCTV cameras at the hotel had been dysfunctional on the night of the incident, leading many to believe that there’s more to the case.
